In Sullivan County, More than 16,000 Customers Still Without Power

  |  November 2, 2012

That’s the report from the Sullivan County Real Estate blog. “NYSEG is making progress on restoring power, with the count of customers out in Sullivan as of this morning down to 16,381,” they write. “Yesterday they got much of the Liberty circuit back up, including most of the village of Liberty. They’ve also posted restoration estimates on their outage website. Restoration estimates range out as far as Nov. 7th. Large areas are still without power, including large parts of Fremont, much of Smallwood, and the lake areas in the southeast part of the county.”

They report that all the gas stations along Route 17B were up and running, with no lines. Which is making Sullivan County seem like a far better place to be right now than, say, poor Long Island.
