Kingston’s Lace Factory Housing Gets Preliminary Thumbs’ Up
Upstater | September 18, 2012Kingston is a haven for artists, and earlier this year a proposal surfaced to turn the abandoned Lace Curtain Factory into affordable housing, in part to house some of those creative types. Well, good news. So far, the planning board has given unanimous approval of the project, reports the Daily Freeman. When finished, it will provide housing for 55 artists, and it’s being developed by Rural Ulster Preservation Co. (RUPCO). We’d say grab your paintbrush and try to sign up as soon as possible!
