Lexington Historic Stone House, $949,000
Kandy Harris | October 21, 2013This is the house that drew us to Lexington in the first place. It was built in 1783 and looks positively enchanted. Rough-hewn support beams, a giant bay of picture windows letting the outside in, all the stone, the wood stoves and fireplaces make it drool-worthy, and it comes with a studio barn attached with a breezeway to the main house. Did we mention it’s also on 155 acres? Given its proximity to the creek, it’s in the high-risk category for flooding. We suspect this is an issue with a lot of the houses around Lexington, and we will do our best to make sure you know that in these posts. Meanwhile, let’s enjoy the view.
