Liberty Dutch Colonial, $124,900
Kandy Harris | August 20, 2012
We’re going all over the map, housing-wise, as we spend the next week in the Town of Liberty, starting with this bargain-basement colonial right in the village. As with a lot of these inexpensive homes, there are some good points, and there are some bad points. The good points: It’s huge, nearly 4,000 square feet, which breaks down to about $34/square foot. It’s got decent curb-appeal with a big front porch, nice hardwood floors, a living room fireplace, it’s located on a corner lot, and, structurally, it’s turn-key. The bad points? The kitchen is not our style at all, outdated and dark. We can’t see much of the living room except the fire place, but it looks like it needs a fresh, updated face, too. Needs new paint, and the carpets should go. The listing states right out that it needs TLC, but for the price, there’s unlimited potential.
