The Little Store in Coxsackie, $157,900
Upstater Staff | January 8, 2015You can’t stop us from stumping for Coxsackie. The underrated Hudson River village in Greene County is usually the first place we turn when we’re looking for 1) something impressive ; 2) something affordable. It’s one of our favorite places to poke around because of its great old architecture and beautiful waterfront park. Such an intriguing, quiet little place. Very quiet. Almost too quiet. Looking to get in on the ground floor? How about an antique eyebrow Colonial built in 1783? Love the original detailing inside (moldings, wood floors, mantles, etc.), but it sounds like the landscaping needs some work. Located right in the village, walking distance to the waterfront.
We posted a photo tour of Coxsackie a few years back, if your curiosity has been piqued. And then try saying Coxsackie with a straight face.
