Fab River Views from this Four-Level Victorian in Newburgh, NY, $775KKandy Harris | April 2, 2022
This brick and mansard Victorian includes a beautifully-preserved interior and a view from the top floor that’s one of the best in Newburgh.
We’re leaving the Orange County city of Newburgh, NY the same way we came in: Totally crushing on a big brick Victorian with views of the Hudson River. We obviously have a type, and that type also includes not two, not three, but four floors of circa-1920s goodness within this 3,172-square-foot interior.
The main level features cathedral ceilings, inlaid wood floors, exposed brick, and pocket doors…
…along with floor-to-ceiling and bay windows to bring in both natural light and the river views.
As for the kitchen, it comes with key updates like appliances, counter tops, and fixtures. From here, you can sneak out the back door and soak in those views all by yourself.
The double arched front doors open onto the home’s original staircase…
…which leads to three bedrooms on the second floor, one of which is the primary suite with a balcony.
…and another with its own fireplace.
The staircase continues to the third floor…
…which includes two more room with refinished plank flooring. You think the views are good downstairs? Imagine how they must look from up here.
Multiple balconies allow access to those views from every floor, even the walk-out basement which leads into the sloped backyard…
…with views of the Newburgh-Beacon Bridge just over the treeline. The double-lot property is located in Newburgh’s East End Historic District, practically neighbors with the first property we featured in Newburgh earlier this week.
