Mark Your Calendars! Solaris, the International Folk-Roots Fusion Band is Coming to Woodstock!
Sam Benedict | April 13, 2016Need a little inspiration in this so-far cold and dreary month of April? A performance from Solaris, the International folk-roots fusion band, will surely lift your spirits. And as a matter of fact, they’re coming to the Hudson Valley – to the Kleinert James Art Center in Woodstock to be exact! On Thursday, April 28 at 8pm the Solaris musicians will do their part in spreading awareness and consciousness through inspiring harmonies and positive lyrics.
What started as a small group of spiritual practitioners playing music for family and close friends has evolved into an international non-profit musical group influencing people from all walks of life. This Chronogram sponsored concert will include multi-instrumentalist musicians and songwriters playing acoustic guitars, keyboard, accordion, trumpet, fiddles and more and a devotional presentation of Gurdjieff Movements, (sacred dances meant to teach self observation and self study). Whether you’re a longtime fan, interested in a night of self examination, or just want to get your feet moving, this is a night you won’t want to miss.
If you just can’t get enough inspiring folk-roots fusion music, make it a Solaris-filled weekend and head to St. Mark’s Church in-the-Bowery on Sunday, May 1 at 3:30pm for an encore. Admission by donation.
