Meanwhile, just West of Nyack, this Seven-Bedroom Colonial Home in Blauvelt has a Gorgeous Interior, $699,000

While we were in the neighborhood of Nyack, Rockland County, we thought we’d a take a look-see at some of the nearby residential real estate markets. Turns out, we didn’t have to go far from Nyack to find something appealing: An 1860s Colonial manse with seven bedrooms and a knock-out interior.

This might be more house than many of us need, but that shouldn’t stop you from taking a look at the listing photos. Oversized rooms, dramatically high ceilings, bay windows, and arched entryways lend the 4200-square foot interior a feeling of grandeur, and parquet wood floors really class up a joint, don’t they? Other period details include marble fireplaces, moldings, ceiling medallions, and built-ins. Upstairs bedrooms have plank wood flooring. Kitchen is huge, comes with a butler’s pantry, and looks like a blank canvas ready to be stylized. Includes three full and one half baths.

Situated on nearly an acre of land in the hamlet of Blauvelt, located about 15 minutes west of Nyack village. Convenient to the Palisades Parkway and the Tappan Zee Bridge.

270 Blauvelt Road, Blauvelt (Keller Williams)
