Millbrook Log Cabin with Interesting Angles: $399K

  |  November 18, 2024

We’re entering cozy season, and what’s cozier than a log cabin? This week, Upstater explores wood-clad abodes.

Today, we’re at a Millbrook log cabin with interesting angles. The wraparound porch hugs a half-round facade, with wings on either side.

Fine craftsmanship is evident in the ceiling rafters on the porch.

And that continues inside. The ceiling rises above a nearly 32′ by 15′, carpeted living room that’s sunk below the foyer level.

A two-stories-tall, pale-brick fireplace holds court in the center of the main level, separating the living room from the kitchen and dining area.

The kitchen has plenty of counter space for work prep, dining, and casual conversations. Wood planking wraps the peninsula, while white-and-oak cabinetry make up the rest of the room. The new owner might want to swap out the somewhat dated cabinetry, but could keep the dark quartz counters.

A half-bath has a parquet floor and a Shaker-style vanity.

One-level living is a benefit: The primary bedroom is in its own wing, showing off the log walls and keeping toes warm with wall-to-wall carpeting underfoot.

The ensuite bath comprises separate sink and shower areas.

This bedroom uses the log treatment as an accent wall, with the other sides a minty green.

Same goes for this bedroom, although the walls are white. Both bedrooms have wall-to-wall carpeting, too.

They share this oak-furnished bath, which has light-blue fixtures.

A basement has this workshop area, a garage, and a storage room.

It’s about two miles to downtown Millbrook—try Babette’s Kitchen!
