Situated just a few miles west of Phoenicia hamlet, this Catskill Mountain cabin provides a home-base for exploring these spectacular surroundings.
Even the most outdoorsy-adventurous of us have to sleep sometime. Might as well do it inside this 432-square-foot cabin-in-the-woods, where it’s comfortable and cozy, thanks the creature comforts that come included.
The rustic-but-not-really abode is constructed of red pine lumber salvaged from the nearby Ashokan Rail Trail…
…and, just past the rocking-chair front porch and front door is the great room featuring a wood stove, seating areas, and a full kitchen.
Having a bedroom to yourself beats the heck outta sleeping on the ground, not to mention (don’t worry; we won’t) indoor plumbing….
….however, you can still take full advantage of the 6.5-acre property populated trees and, likely, local animal life that awaits just outside the door. No need to put on your hiking shoes, unless you want to…
…and if you do, no worries: The Slide Mountain and Giant Ledge hiking trails are a stone’s throw from here, and, during the winter months, Belleayre Mountain awaits just a short drive away. Foodies, make sure you check out the Peekamoose Restaurant – located down the road a peice – once dining-out restrictions have been lifted. Meanwhile, lounging on the porch to admire the mountain views is not only encouraged, but required.
If you’re looking to expand on existing land, there’s opportunity for that here. And, when you’re not staying here, rent it out and bring in some extra income.
Located less than 15 miles from the Ulster County, NY hamlet of Phoenicia.
