Napanoch NY Queen Anne Victorian NOW $89K

Take the details remaining in this Napanoch NY Queen Anne and make them shine…

Remember this house when we posted about it back in October of last year? Since then, it’s received a price reduction that puts it squarely into Five-Figure territory, and we are, as the kids like the say, here for it.

After all, there’s a lot to covet about this 1920s Victorian. First, it comes with a turret, which makes it a visual standout from the get-go. This feature gets abused a lot in the world of McMansions, but on a genuine Queen Anne, it’s a nifty attribute. Secondly, there’s the listing price, which also includes .7 acre lot. Granted, this home needs work, so the five-figure price tag isn’t a huge surprise.

Speaking of surprises, let’s take a look at the 2,241-square foot interior, starting with the carved wood main staircase

…continuing to the stained glass windows and hardwood floors

…and here’s the wainscoted ceiling of the turret’s interior…

…not to mention a fireplace or two, like this tiled one with brick insert…

…and still more wainscoting in the finished third-floor attic.

The coolest thing about having a turret in your house is that your get a set of bay windows in a room on every floor…

As we mentioned, however, this house needs work. That’s particularly evident in the kitchen, which needs everything…

The house includes five bedrooms and four bedrooms and was formerly a B&B. We suppose it could be again. The western Ulster County hamlet of Napanoch is a quiet town in a quiet corner of the Catskills, situated in some of the prettiest surroundings in the state.
