Newburgh Mid-Century Modern Ranch, $450,000
Kandy Harris | April 16, 2015
Balmville is a little hamlet in the town of Newburgh just north of the city and the Newburgh-Beacon Bridge. It’s more of a big neighborhood, really, consisting of tree-lined windy roads branching out from Route 9W and centered around the Powelton Country Club. And as soon as there’s a country club nearby, you know that the prices will reflect same. Such is the case with this c.1955 mid-mod priced close to a half-mill, definitely one of the pricier Newburgh homes we’ll be looking at this week. We’d love to see more of the interior than the kitchen/dining room and the bath, although that is one fancy bath. Includes river views and an acre of land at the end of a cul-de-sac. A trip from here to the Beacon side of the bridge takes about 10 minutes.
