From Newsday Travel: On the Road and Ready to Eat in the Hudson Valley
Kandy Harris | May 9, 2017Here’s a juicy tidbit from Newsday Travel: A snapshot of roadtrip-worthy food from around the Hudson Valley and Catskills courtesy Roadfood, a guide to eating on the road all over the county by Jane and Michael Stern. In fact, eateries around the Upstater area make more than one appearance in Roadfood. Several are on the map, including the West Taghkanic Diner in Columbia County (hint: order the Jitterbug, even though it’s not on the menu) and Sweet Sue’s in Phoenicia, Ulster County.
Want to find more food on the road? Check out all of Roadfood’s Hudson Valley and Catskills picks, as well as anywhere else you might be headed, here. Got a favorite road food spot? Let us know about it in the comments! Upstater’s pick: Bubby’s Burrito Stand, Red Hook, Dutchess County (Gmap), open Tues-Sat, 12-5pm weather permitting.
