Newsflash: Tannersville is Getting a Farmers Market
Upstater Staff | April 29, 2016We caught this tidbit on Facebook this morning from the Hunter Foundation’s page: “Tannersville Farmer’s Market will be open every Sunday 10am to 2pm beginning Memorial Day Weekend through Columbus Day Weekend!!! Fresh produce, maple syrup, honey, pickles, baked goods, art work, locally made items and lots more.”
Tannersville in Greene County, just up the road a piece from Hunter Mountain, has been gaining serious foodie cred with places like Mama’s Boy, Maggie’s Krooked Kafe, Last Chance, and more. A farmers market can only serve to make it more of a gourmand’s destination in the Catskills. Speaking of Last Chance, the new farmers market is planned for the municipal parking lot behind the cafe/cheese store/confectionary. Want to vend? Email tannersvillefarmersmarket@gmail.com for an application.
