Lots of folks have been asking us about furnishing vacation homes. If you’re on a budget, yeah, stick with IKEA. But you can supplement with select treasures. Here are a couple of places we like to drool over, including a couple of blogs that sell used modern furnishings downstate. Please help us out by adding some!

One great thing about this site: a design-your-own section, where you can choose patterns and colors of pillows and couches, among other pieces.

We’re particularly fond of the lighting section. Bring a thick wallet.

Y Living
Venturing into the literary with a new magazine, to boot.

All Modern
A nice, Pinterest-like layout. Has more stuff than the others, but is less choosy and more generous with the term “modern.”
