We don’t want to get carried away. After all, we editorialize here, as opposed to just cheerleading. But we got pretty excited about this place. For one thing, it seems to come with its own swimming hole in the Kaaterskill Creek, an amenity that is hard to put a number on. Have you heard us wax poetic about swimming holes?
But its creek frontage is only one attribute of this three-bed, three-bath house in Palenville. We like the tasteful renovation, the light-filled bedrooms (city folk dream of seeing trees out their windows, so admittedly the bar is pretty low), the garden. It’s clear you can see neighbors from the house, though not too many — it’s on almost two acres, which is nice, but not enough for pure country solitude. A hop skip to Catskill with its ever-expanding offerings. Drool over photos below.
