Pawling Mid-Seventies Mid-Mod, $579,900
Kandy Harris | March 2, 2015Yes, this house was built in 1974. Yes, we know that’s pretty far afield from the standard mid-mod time period (approx. 1930s-1960s). However, it absolutely fits the bill in terms of look and feel, from the entryway to the living room (giant fireplace? Check. Huge windows? Check), kitchen to the cool-as-a-cucumber exterior. Loads of space all around, as well, with 3000 square feet of space within and 8 acres of land without. The detached garage is waaaay not mid-mod, but it does include an office/guest room on the second floor. Located about 10 minutes east of Pawling, which has a Metro-North station. Those property taxes are ruining the fantasy of it all so we’re just going to plug our ears and close our eyes and pretend they don’t exist.
