Pine Plains Brick Building, $399,000
Kandy Harris | February 7, 2014Oh boy are we smitten with this circa-1920 16,000 square foot building in the Dutchess County town of Pine Plains. Yes, it’s basically gutted. Yes, it will need extensive work on three of its floors. No, there are no suitable living spaces in this building right now. But can you imagine what it could be? Perhaps it could be converted back into the theater it once was, or an apartment building (don’t anyone dare touch those great embossed ceilings), or the Dutchess County equivalent of SPAF in Saugerties. Such a wonderful old building sitting right in the middle of town. Somebody please do something with it.
