Private Island In Putnam Lake, Brewster, $1.25 Million
Kandy Harris | April 27, 2012Not that we have much to compare it to, but $1,250,000 seems like a bargain for an entire island, even if it’s a small one in a private lake. Not surprisingly, the house that sits on this island is gorgeous, but who cares? It’s on a private island!
Of note: Only 5mph motors, row boats, canoes, and kayaks are allowed on Putnam Lake, so if you need to pop out to the store for a few things, it might be quite the journey. But if you’re the sea-faring type who likes upper body workouts, rowing to shore might be your definition of a good time.
The taxes are positively astronomical, but we’re guessing if you can plunk down more than a million on a private island, tax rates aren’t an issue for you.
Island includes detached garage for your boat and a guest house. Mr. Roarke and Tattoo sold separately.
