Renovated Victorian in Tannersville, $320,000
Kandy Harris | June 3, 2014The listing for this c.1887 brick Victorian hints at B&B potential (equal number of baths to beds helps), but we wondered, does Tannersville need another B&B? We’re not entirely sure. This is Vacation Land, after all, so there are a number of inns and B&Bs around. But it sure would make a fun summer home (or winter, if you enjoy the snow sports). Walk to Maggie’s Krooked Kafe for the best breakfast around, then hit Rip Van Winkle Lake (AKA Tannersville Lake) public beach for swimming, or drive down the road for hiking/canoeing/more swimming at North South Lake. The house itself is neat, well-maintained, shiny, and who doesn’t love a bathtub surrounding my stained glass floweds? Of interest: It comes with an extra 1.5 acres of land. Tannersville is about 2 hours from NYC, up in Greene County, next door neighbors with Hunter.
