Rental of the Week: Greek Revival in Stuyvesant, $3500/month

  |  July 10, 2012

The Hudson River town of Stuyvesant (Columbia County) is tiny, but since it was settled around 1640, there are some great older houses in the area, like this circa-1750 Greek Revival that’s renting at $3500/month for the months of July, September, or October. That’s pretty steep rent, for sure, but it’s in a great spot with a gorgeous view of the river, and the interior is quite lovely, too: Wide plank wood floors, huge tub in the master bath, and check out the cathedral ceiling in the kitchen.

Location-wise, it’s a little confusing. The map on the listing puts it on the wrong side of the river from Stuyvesant, over in West Coxsackie. With a little investigating, we discovered this house is actually located at the intersections of Church Street and Route 9J, right in the heart of Stuyvesant.

House is also available for 6 months starting September 1st for $3000/month. You’ll need to carry renters insurance, per the listing.
