Rental of the Week: Lakefront House in Warwick, $5,500/week

  |  May 22, 2012

We’re really digging this fancy rental properties right on the shores of Greenwood Lake, located east of the town of Warwick in Orange County. It ain’t cheap, but we can see why. First of all, there’s the gigantic, imposing 40-foot-high wall of windows facing the lake. Then there’s the wrap-around terraces, the gourmet kitchen, and the stainless steel tub in the master bath. Now raise your hand if you suddenly want a stainless steel tub in your own house.

Greenwood Lake is located less than an hour from the city, just north of the New Jersey state line. The lake is also bordered to the northeast by the village of Greenwood Lake, a cute, walkable lakeside town with lots shops, restaurants, and a public beach. Minimum one-week stay is required. Which is probably for the best, because we can’t really imagine staying in a house like this for just one night. It seems like we’d need some time to just stare up at one of the giant walls of windows with our mouths hanging open.
