Artist Magnus Agustsson was a prolific sculptor, and his works make up the lion’s share of his namesake Agustsson Gallery in Kingston’s Rondout District. Mr. Agustsson passed away last year, and the gallery is on the market. It’s a pretty special place. The third floor of the c.1949 building is an impressive 3 bedroom loft with exposed brick, high ceilings, and wood floors. Meanwhile, the gallery itself is outfitted with gallery lighting, parquet and oak flooring, and tons of display space. If you stood in front of the building on the street, you probably wouldn’t be able to tell that there’s flourishing garden hidden in the back with pathways, stonework, and places to sit and take in the beauty. The word “oasis” gets bandied around a lot in real estate listings, but in this case, it’s well-earned. Located on Broadway right as you enter the Rondout neighborhood. Find out more about the gallery as well as more photos here.
