Rosendale c.1850s Brick Farmhouse + Artist’s Studio, $375,000

Oh, how we adore Rosendale in Ulster County. Situated along the Rondout Creek about 15 minutes south of Kingston, the town with a population of around 6000 residents has just the right amount of quirk for us, as well as artsy creativity. And, that quirk and creativity is on display all throughout the community, especially during the Rosendale Street Festival and Frozen-dale, two popular street fairs that bring thousands of visitors to town. Rosendale also has plenty of good food and drink, music venues, its own movie house, and a system of caves and mines worth exploring. It’s also home to the Rosendale trestle, offering stunning views of the Rondout Creek and access to the Wallkill Valley rail trail.

Long story short, Rosendale is tops. And, this 1850s brick farmhouse is just one of the many reasons we love the town. Located five minutes from the center of town, the four-acre property has “Live and Work Here” written all over it, thanks to the inclusion of a bright, crisp, and whitewashed studio space with double doors in its own wing off the main house. On the residential side, the home hits lots of spots with plank floors, tons of swoon-worthy exposed brick, French doors, and cool little nooks and crannies, like the one where the upstairs clawfoot bathtub is located. Includes 3000 square feet total, three bedrooms, and three full baths.
