Don’t Blink or You’ll Miss Out on this Rosendale Cottage, $168,900

Those who hesitate are lost, especially when it comes to this charming Rosendale cottage…

We’re going out on a limb and suggesting this property may not last long on the market. Not that we’re great real estate prognosticators or anything, but we do know a bargain when we see one. This two-bedroom cottage would be perfect for someone looking to buy for the first time, and Rosendale is the perfect place in which to do it.

The 1,057-square foot, c.1900 cottage includes two bedrooms, hardwood floors, and Craftsman wood details galore. There are lots of renovations that come packed in this little house, like a new bath, remodeled kitchen with stainless steel, pine paneled walls, new furnace, and septic system.

There’s no shortage of natural light thanks to abundance windows, and there appears to be a wood stove hook-up in the living room.

Both bedrooms are up the Craftsman-wood staircase on the second floor and include plank floors.

One aspect of the property of which you should be made aware is that the backyard is pitched upward at a fairly dramatic slant. There is, however, a flat area with a shed on the 1.5-acre plot of land.

Off-street parking is large enough to accommodate two small cars, according to the listing, but there is no driveway. The location is on the west side of the Rondout Creek and five minutes from Rosendale village. We love this area of Ulster County so much that we decided to devote an entire week to it.
