Rural Upstate New York Post Offices Could Stay Open
Upstater | May 11, 2012
In some tiny towns, the post office is the center of all social activity…plus it could be 20 miles until the next one. So the news that many small post offices might close caused ruffled feathers all over the country. Here’s the list (including some non-rural, suburban branches, too): Fremont Center, North Branch, Pond Eddy, Highland Lake, North Hudson, Sleepy Hollow, Yonkers South and Sandford Station in Mount Vernon. If you want a little background on the grand plan to close post offices, check out Save the Post Office.
