Saugerties Cottage near the Esopus Creek: Single-level living with little maintenance.

  |  March 7, 2025

Happy Friday! Today, Upstater visits a Saugerties cottage near the Esopus Creek.

It’s a petite (704 square feet), two-bedroom home with a fenced yard. Its tan exterior has red accents in the shutters and front door.

In the living room, moss-green walls rise to a pitched ceiling, where a modern ceiling fan keeps the air moving.

The living room is large enough for a long sofa with a chaise.

The kitchen cabinets complement the living room’s color scheme in a deeper green tone, topped with butcher-block counters.

The same goes for the modern vanity in the bathroom, which has a handy pier cabinet alongside it. White subway tile covers half of one wall…

…while molded white tile covers the walk-in shower.

One bedroom has dark hardwood flooring and light walls.

The second bedroom has green walls.

What a nice surprise to see an enclosed rear porch! It’s the full width of the rear of the house and is perfect for extra living space.

In addition to the front lawn, a full back lawn is fenced in.

Thanks to the magic of technology, the property and its proximity to the Esopus Creek can be seen in full color in this image.
