Saugerties Village Brick Church, $1.25 million
Upstater Staff | October 22, 2014This grand c.1890 brick church is a recognizable landmark in Saugerties. Located just a half a block from Main Street, the First Baptist Church’s original building is cool, complete with lots of stained glass windows and doors as well as a belfry with the original bell. The addition, which was built in 1967, is less nice. Very boxy and bland, but certainly serviceable. The original building may have sustained some type of damage recently as we’ve observed scaffolding and repair work being doing on the front entrance. The church is a massive space, nearly 20,000 square feet worth of sanctuary/main room, offices, conference rooms, commercial kitchen, and two apartments. Also comes with the house next door. The location is great, super high visibility, and zoned for commercial use. On the other hand, the taxes are crazy high.
Square Feet: 19,667
