Call us jaded, but there isn’t a whole lot that makes our jaws drop while we utter “Wow” under our breath. But this architect-designed Shaker-inspired rental property in Red Hook elicited just such a response. This is less like a seasonal rental house and more like a rentable resort, complete with 6 sleeping quarters (including a birch cabin with sleeping loft), spa baths, and a kids only room completely with a giant flat screen TV, tumbling mats, toys, games, and plenty of other activities to keep them occupied. But the crown jewel of this property is the pool. The pool is the stuff of dreams. It’s terraced, which makes for two heated pools separate by a waterfall. No wonder the Shaker House was described on VRBO.com as “a pool with a house.” This would make a great destination for a large group.
