One of the things we like about a Ranch house is that just because it’s small on the square footage side doesn’t mean there isn’t enough room to spread out. Case in point: This two-bedroom Ranch in Putnam County. Located just over an hour from NYC, the 1950s single-story home is 768 square feet with two bedrooms, but its open floor plan means that you probably won’t feel crowded.

The living room features cathedral ceilings, a floor-to-ceiling stone fireplace, and a wall of windows facing the woods on the property. The kitchen with dining counter is open to the living room and offers entry via a glass door to the screened-in porch, which in turn opens onto an attached balcony deck large enough to entertain family and friends.

Included with the house is a full acre of land situated in a private spot just north of the Westchester County border. Suddenly 768 square feet doesn’t seem so small at all, does it?
