Summer at High Meadow
High Meadow School | January 20, 2016The weather might be chilly, but summer – and summer camp – will be here before you know it, and it’s never too early to consider your options.
High Meadow School, located in historic Ulster County hamlet of Stone Ridge, offers a full-day summer camp program from June 27 – July 29, 2016 on their beautiful 9-acre campus. The program offers children ages 4 – 12 a summer packed with experiences in the arts, sports, and open-ended play set against the backdrop of the campus’s natural setting, a perfect environment for the camp’s daily activities. Each week will be planned around a theme that includes fun and engaging activities for both younger and older age groups.
High Meadow campus provides campers with a world of natural experiences: a pond for wildlife exploration, a state-protected bird sanctuary and nature trail, playing fields for sports, and “Popo Village,” where children use natural resources to build shelters and imaginary worlds.
Camp day starts at 8:30am with a gathering, and then counselors and camp educators take each group for a full day of outdoor play, cooperative games, art projects, low-ropes course challenges, and optional weekly visits to the Rosendale pool. High Meadow Summer Camp offers extended hours until 5:30pm, making after work camp pickup less stressful.
If you’re looking for a summer camp that provides a perfect balance of spontaneous discovery, creativity, and guided play, check out Summer at the Meadow.
