Take Peek Inside Kingston’s Infamous Dollhouse
Kandy Harris | October 30, 2015Nothing gets us in the mood for Halloween like a good abandoned building, and the Dollhouse on Route 28 in Kingston is one abandoned building we’ve been wondering about for years. Many of you are shaking your heads right now, thinking, “oh yeah! I know that building. That one that looks like a castle.” Yes, that’s the one, located just outside the city of Kingston and and about a half-mile from the I-87 traffic circle. The former doll museum has been a ski shop and meat distributor but has been cleaned out, zipped up, and left at the side of road in the parking lot of Alta Log Homes. The Kingston Daily Freeman did a piece with video on the building a couple of years ago.
A quick Google search took us to Abandoned Hudson Valley on Facebook where we discovered a beautiful collection of photos of the Dollhouse’s interior. Here’s a sneak peek at the album:
