Description:
The Storm King Room at the Caldwell House Bed and Breakfast in Salisbury Mills doesn’t have an impressive name for nothin’; it’s named for the nearby Storm King Art Center. When not checking out the impressive collection of outdoor sculptures at the 500 acre site, have a romantic getaway in this bedroom fit for a king. Not to sound exclusive, but as per the B+B’s policies, kids under 12 aren’t allowed unless you book out the building. But that’s fine, really, since the Storm King Room, and others in the complex, are perfect for a quiet weekend getaway whether on your own or with a friend/beau. It’s still too warm to cozy up next to the fireplace, but feel free to take a tour at West Point or Brotherhood Winery during the day, and have a luxurious Jacuzzi bubble bath at night. The website conveniently has a guide of local attractions, be they shopping, hiking or dining. Plus, Salisbury Mills has a stop off the Jersey Transit Port Jervis Line. Make your way up, rent a car and get to relaxing. Would you look at that breakfast?
