This Week: Indulge Your Catskills Farmhouse Fantasies
Kandy Harris | April 27, 2015It’s almost a cliche, the idea of living in a rambling old farmhouse in upstate New York. There’s a reason for that cliche, though, and that’s because scouring the listings for farmhouses and fantasizing about owning one is practically an official pastime for some downstaters as well as certain real estate-related blogs that shall remain nameless (hint: Rhymes with “Shupstater”). With all those farmhouse fantasies in mind, come with us all this week on a journey through the Catskill Mountains, where farmhouses, both fixer-upper and turn-key, await for your perusal and perhaps your pocketbook, if you’re so inclined. We won’t exclude modern farmhouses, but we admit that we lean heavily toward the side of the vintage farmhouse with modern amenities, of course. Outdoor facilities need not apply.
