This Week on Upstater: Basking in Hudson River Views
Kandy Harris | April 16, 2018Happy Monday, Upstaters! This week, we’ll be soaking in those enviable Hudson River views…
…and, we’ll be doing it by sifting the residential real estate listings for houses that come with those views.
Keep in mind that, often, those views don’t come cheap. It’s not like there are acres upon acres of available real estate near the Hudson just waiting to be scooped up. Housing developments and single-family properties – as well as preserved areas intended to be left wild – take up the lion’s share of river frontage on the Hudson, and the further south you go toward NYC, the more expensive those views get.
However, if you’re willing to look at northern Hudson River towns, you’ll likely find those million-dollar views for under a million. Greene, Ulster, Columbia, Rensselaer, and Albany Counties offer less expensive options. More expensive listing live in southern Dutchess, Putnam, Rockland, and Westchester Counties.
Longing to step out onto your porch and see the Hudson River flowing by? How about from the comfort of your own living room? If you answered yes to either of these questions, and you’re in the market for a new home in the Hudson Valley…
Stay tuned all week long on Upstater.com!
