Holiday Design Show at the Senate House in Kingston
Friday, December 4 from 5 to 9 pm several designers, art connoisseurs and antique aficionados will be hosting a holiday design show at the Senate House in Kingston, as part of the city’s annual Snowflake Festival. Participants include Milne’s at Home Antiques and Gallery, SPRUCE Design and Décor, The Gilded Thistle, and others. Cross Contemporary Art Gallery, based in Saugerties, will be featuring some of the region’s best artists including Gregory Amenoff, Catherine Howe, and Portia Munson. Ulster Ballet Company will perform A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens at the Ulster Performing Arts Center (UPAC) in Kingston this Friday, December 4 at 7:30 pm, Saturday, December 5 at 4 pm, and Sunday, December 6 at 2 pm. Produced by artistic directors Scarlett Fiero and Quiedo Carbone, and former New York City Ballet dancer Sara Miot, this performance will feature over sixty dancers and actors. The Annual Hudson Winter Walk This Weekend
A cherished tradition, the Hudson Winter Walk will take place this Saturday, December 5 from 5 to 8 pm on Warren Street in the city of Hudson. All the shops will be appropriately decorated for the holidays, and carolers and other performers will animate the mile-long street. Mr. and Mrs. Santa Claus will make an appearance in their horse-drawn wagon. Children should expect a petting zoo, and even live reindeers. Free books will be distributed at the City Hall.
