The Poetics of Space at the Erpf Center

The Erpf Center in Arkville is hosting The Poetics of Space, an art show featuring the works of abstract painter Fred Guyot, opening reception Saturday, March 26 at 2 pm. Guyot, who received his MFA from Brooklyn College, studied with famous Philip Pearlstein in the 1960s, and developed a style characterized by rich, bold colors. The Poetics of Space includes works produced between 1990 and 2010, and will remain on view through May 27. For more information, visit catskillcenter.org.

Sugaring Off Sundays at the Farmers’ Museum

The Farmers’ Museum in Cooperstown is hosting Sugaring Off Sundays, Sunday, March 27 from 8:30 am to 2 pm. Activities include contemporary and historic maple sugaring demonstrations, activities for children, crafts demonstrations, and more. Wagon rides are offered between 11 am and 1:30 pm. Breakfast is served until 1 pm; it includes pancakes with local maple syrup. At 1 pm there will be an Easter egg hunt in the Historic Village. For more information, visit farmersmuseum.org.

Catskill Mountain Railroad’s Easter Bunny Rides

Catskill Mountain Railroad is offering scenic Easter Bunny rides this Saturday, March 26 at 10:30 am, 12 noon, 1:30 and 3 pm. All trains depart from Westbrook Station at Kingston Plaza. The rides, from Kingston across the Hurley Flats, will be animated with ongoing Easter egg hunts, snacks, and photos with the Easter Bunny. For more information, visit catskillmtrailroad.com.
