Poetry at the Woodstock Artists Association and Museum

Post Traumatic Press is hosting a Poetry Reading and Book Signing event at the Woodstock Artists Association and Museum this Sunday, March 26 at 2 pm featuring the works of poets Sharon Israel, Judith Kerman and Leslie Gerber. Israel, also a soprano, is the author of “Voice Lesson” published by Post Traumatic Press earlier this year. She is the host and producer of “Planet Poets – Words in Space” on WIOX Roxbury. Judith Kerman is the author of eight collections of poetry including “Postcards from America” published by Post Traumatic Press as well as three books of translations of Cuban and Dominican women writers. Leslie Gerber is the author of “The Edge of Sleep” published

Fleischmanns First Maple Festival

The village of Fleischmanns is hosting its annual Fleischmanns First Maple Festival this weekend Saturday and Sunday, March 25 – 26 from 8 am to 4 pm. Now in its 6th year, the festival celebrates the tradition of tapping and producing maple syrup in the Catskills. Activities include maple pancake breakfast, children maple-themed craft activities, a maple themed art exhibit, and a lecture with Dr. Bill Burns at the Skene Library titled Sugaring in the Catskills. An Appalachian Gathering: Apollo’s Fire at the Doctorow Center for the Arts

The Doctorow Center for the Arts in Hunter is hosting a concert this Saturday, March 25 at 8 pm, featuring Apollo’s Fire, The Cleveland Baroque Orchestra. A period-instrument ensemble, Apollo’s Fire will perform Renaissance, Baroque and early Classical music under the artistic direction of Jeannette Sorrell. Get tickets and enjoy the music.
