Travel + Leisure’s Nod to the Catskills
Upstater Staff | December 15, 2014Travel + Leisure named the Catskills as one of the Best Place to Travel in 2015, calling it a destination for “hip, design-crazed travelers.” There’s certainly no shortage of places to stay in the region, and T+L suggested Hotel Dylan in Woodstock, The Graham & Co. in Phoenicia, and the Arnold House in Livingston Manor, all strong choices in our opinion as well as Table on Ten in Bloomville for some yummy eats. While the Catskills is certainly starting to see its fair share of design junkies, we also see hefty amounts of nature lovers, fans of farm-to-table, and those looking for a nearby escape from chaotic urban life (Manhattan was on the list, too, incidentally). Other places that made T+L’s list include Istanbul (Not Constantinople), Milan Italy, Malta, Chile, Norway, and Hokkaido Japan. Good company, indeed.
