Two Fixer-Uppers from the Inbox: Woodstock Ultra-Modern + Stone Ridge Colonial

  |  June 8, 2012

Old fixer-upper or new fixer-upper? Tough choices!

Our inboxes are fairly bursting  with great properties for sale today, including a little something old and a little something new, both needing work, but both pretty awesome.

The first is a swanky, extremely modern 2800-sq. ft. abode in Woodstock in a state of mid-construction. The cabinetry is included but hasn’t been installed, the bathrooms have only been roughed in, and almost all non-structural work needs to be completed. But what a sight it will be once it’s finished! Situated on 3 secluded acres on a dead-end road, and the spectacular view needs no work whatsoever.

540 Mt. Tobias Rd Ext., Woodstock – $398,000 (Win Morrison) GMAP

The second property is much, MUCH older (circa-1760) and needs much less work. In fact, maybe not much work at all. The listing states that this historic stone house in Stone Ridge (Ulster County) has been restored, but the pictures lead us to believe that it might still need a few cosmetic fixes (fireplaces, floors, and the old barn on the property all look like they could use some sprucing). Big, too, at 6500 square feet and located on 6 acres.

2911 Route 209, Stone Ridge – $480,000 (Win Morrison) GMAP
