Two Upstate Counties, The Healthiest and [Second] Least Healthy in NY State

Putnam County, home to last week’s Town of the Week, Carmel, has been ranked the healthiest county in the state, according to the Mid-Hudson News. The least healthy county in the state is the Bronx, but it’s closely followed by Sullivan County.

Not that surprisingly, other super healthy spots include wealthy suburbs of the city: Rockland, Westchester. Dutchess is high on the list, too, at number nine.
