Updated Two-Bedroom Ranch with Tons of Bonus Space for $389.9K

Today we’re heading north. Well, not too far north—just a little way up Route 32 from where we were yesterday.

North of the village center of New Paltz is this 1,280-square-foot ranch. It’s technically a two-bedroom, actually…you’ll see what we mean.

The front door opens to this bright living room, with hardwood floors and a slick, white-and-gray-brick fireplace.

Off the living room is this dining room, separated by a peninsula from the kitchen. It’s been prettied up with a modern chandelier.

The kitchen has new white cabinets, granite countertops, stainless steel appliances, and an undermount sink. A portable island has a matching granite surface.

This carpeted den has room for lots of sofas plus a nook for a work station.

The primary bedroom has a double closet and hardwood flooring, plus a ceiling fan with lights overhead.

The bathroom has been redone in creamy Carrara marble that covers the floor and climbs halfway up the walls.

This bedroom is smaller than the primary one, but still a good size. It has hardwood floors and a ceiling fan, too.

There’s bonus space downstairs. Here’s the technical part: The house is listed as having two bedrooms, so this space doesn’t count. But it’s outfitted as a bedroom, so…the new owners could use their imagination and convert the carpeted space to a TV room, study space, yoga room…

…Oh, and there’s this room, too.

And this one, as well. That’s the best part about ranch homes: They sure do have lots of basement space.

A deck off the back of the house sprawls nearly its entire width.

And there’s an above-ground pool, too. The property includes an attached one-car garage and measures more than a half-acre. It’s just a five-minute drive from here to SUNY New Paltz and village restaurants like Runa Bistro.
