Upstater Destinations: American Craft Beer Fest, Andes Hotel
Kandy Harris | May 30, 2013Lovers of the Catskills and beer enthusiasts rejoice: Saturday, June 8th marks the 5th Annual American Beer Fest at the Andes Hotel. The whole event looks like a hoot, with lots of local breweries involved, including Ommegang, Anchor Steam, Itaca Brewery, Goose Island Brewery, and lots more.
more info on the jump…
For the $25 price of admission, you get to drink as much beer as you want, all afternoon between 2pm and 7pm. This would be a good event to bring a designated driver with you, and all they have to do is throw $5 toward the band (the Jack Grace Band, BTW) in order to get in.
It’s also the perfect opportunity to check out the very cool-looking Andes Hotel, which has a restaurant with a menu loaded with lots of local stuff, not to mention a tavern with a respectable selection of brews on tap. Have you been? Looks like the perfect Catskills laid-back hangout to us.
For more on Beer Fest, check out their event page on the hotel website.
