Vintage Village Colonial in Warwick for $445K

We’re ambling through Warwick this week, and opening our tour is this three-bedroom 1872 Colonial that’s been well-maintained and updated through the years.

The 1,557-square-foot home is a five-minute walk to the village of Warwick’s downtown. It’s certainly seen a lot of changes through its life, but it’s held onto vintage details that make it a real charmer.

Take the entry, for instance: Paneled walls, original hardwood floors, and crisp white paint accenting the original staircase.

The living room has a big bow window alcove, crown molding, and more of those gorgeous hardwood floors.

The dining room is just off the entry hall and living room. Big enough for a table that feeds a crowd, the room is brightened by big windows.

A doorway separates the dining room from the kitchen…

…which is nicely updated and smoothly designed, with a peninsula breakfast area and stainless-steel-accented appliances.

A half bath has a ceramic tile floor and new-ish fixtures. The new homeowners might want to add their own touch by updating the wallpaper.

The side-hall stairs lead to the second-story hall, which is bright and roomy enough for a bookcase.

This bedroom is being used as an office, but it could be used as a bedroom (although it lacks a closet).

The secondary bedroom has vintage hardware on the doors, two windows flanking the bed area, and room for the usual dresser/mirror combo. We bet there’s hardwood flooring under that carpet.

The primary bedroom is bright and cheery.

The bedrooms share a hall bath that has a double-sink vanity and a good-sized tub/shower combo. It’s awash in clean white tones, from the ceramic tile to the vanity to the walls.

There’s just 0.11 of an acre here, but it’s nicely planned with a multi-tier back deck and room for a gazebo. It leads to a paver patio and grassy backyard.

A shed has plenty of room for tools and toys, and the clothesline is a nostalgic way to save money on drying your clothes.
