Is this the Most Perfect Victorian in Nyack, NY? Judge for Yourself…
Kandy Harris | November 29, 2018Nyack, NY has some truly jaw-dropping older houses, but this vintage village Victorian might be one of our favorites…
With a fresh coat of paint, its curb appeal is hard to deny. And, the wrap-around front porch with Greek Revival columns hints at the impeccably-preserved, 3,270-square-foot interior.
The c.1867 Victorian is full of pristine details, from the wood-inlaid floors to the original crown moldings. It’s currently set up as a two-family residence, with what looks like a one-bedroom apartment on the top floor (cute kitchen, cathedral ceilings, and hardwood floors included). However, the listing suggests new owners could convert the house back to a single-family residence.
Anyway, feast your eyes on these floors!
Main level kitchen includes granite counter tops and pressed-tin ceilings, as does an upstairs room at the top of the spiral staircase…
…and, note the exposed brick accents…
…that extend to the upper-level living room.
Includes a quarter-acre residential lot with a brick backyard patio, all of it walking distance to Nyack’s downtown area with restaurants, shops, galleries, and parks. A ten-minute drive north will get you to the Nyack Beach State Park and shoreline walking trails. There are a lot of great towns in the Hudson Valley, but Nyack is one of our favorites.
