Put your renovating skills to good use with this eight-bedroom Walden NY Victorian house…

Happy Five-Figure Friday! We received a tip from a reader that we should cast our attention toward the Orange County village of Walden. This reader mentioned Walden’s historic charms in the form of Victorian fixer uppers, as well as the village’s retail spaces. So, expect to find a lot more Walden listings in the future! In the meantime, here’s one such fixer-upper Victorian situated in Walden village, walking distance to those village shops…

Built in the late 1920s, the Victorian’s most apparent attraction is its front entrance with arched entryway and windows, all of it adding up to one cool-looking Italianate facade.

However, as we mentioned, this is a fixer-upper. And, it’s a big fixer-upper, too, with 8 bedrooms, 6 baths, and 4,000 square feet. That’s a project with a capital “P,” and not for the faint-of-heart. Can you imagine the possibilities, though? Would you turn it back into an impressive single-family dwelling? Make it a multi-family? Either way, this old house offers a lot to work with. We love the windows…

Walden village is located about 20 minutes west of Newburgh and the Hudson River. If you commute, hop on I-84 east across the Newburgh-Beacon Bridge and then south, or cross the bridge and take the Metro North in Beacon.

(34 Capron Street, Walden NY)
