This Week on Upstater: Giving Thanks for Mountain Retreats
Kandy Harris | November 21, 2016Happy Thanksgiving Week!
We have a lot to be thankful for in the Hudson Valley and Catskills, even in these tumultuous times. We’re thankful for the friendly communities who value a commitment to preserving their history while helping grow new businesses and creative enterprises. We’re thankful for the Hudson River itself, which gives us a place to go when we feel compelled to visit a tidal body of water. We’re grateful for the Catskill Mountains, teeming with vital natural resources and opportunities to connect with nature. And, we’re thankful for all of the tucked-away little places within the mountains where we can go to disconnect from modern distractions and reconnect with something greater.
So, this week on Upstater, we’ll be celebrating the chance to get away from it all in a hidden mountain house, which, let’s face it, is something many of us are fantasizing about pretty hard right now. Take heart, those longing for privacy: We’ve scoured the listings and found some of our favorite secluded residential properties just for you every day this week, Thanksgiving Day included! Digest your feast by looking at some gorgeous houses in the Hudson Valley and Catskills. Stay tuned…
