This Week on Upstater: Let's Go to Beacon and Peekskill
Upstater Staff | December 12, 2016This week we’re headed east of the Hudson River, starting in the southern Dutchess County city of Beacon and heading south toward Peekskill in northern Westchester County. Why? Because both of little riverfront communities are happening right now. Good food, an art scene (Beacon is known for its art lofts), access to public transportation, all the good stuff. The WSJ called Peekskill’s blossoming “a comeback” and referred to it as “the best kept secret in Westchestesr,” but for those of us who live up here and pay attention to such things, it’s been blossoming for a while, slowly but surely, and we can’t help but appreciate Beacon’s and Peekskill’s feisty gumption.
Read more about Peekskill here and Beacon here, both on UpstateHouse.com.
So, without further ado, let’s get to the houses. We’ll be featuring residential listings from Beacon to Peekskill all this week on Upstater.com. Stay tuned…
