This Week on Upstater: Let’s Go Glamping!

If you equate camping with sleeping on the ground and writhing uncomfortably every minute of the long night, you’re going to want to pay attention to what we’ll be showing you on Upstater this week.

Glamping opportunities abound in the Hudson Valley and Catskill Mountains, offering soft-core campers the chance to experience all the fun of communing with nature without the sleeping on a slope. Or, not being able to stand up in your tent. Or, not having a safe place to store food. Or, having to set up camp 20 feet from another campsite.

Short term rental sites like Tentrr and Hub focus on glamping, although Hub also offers more conventional rentals along with their tipis, tree houses, canvas tents, and Airstream trailers. That’s right; glamping is more than tents. Glamping sites also give landowners in the area the chance to rent out parcels to help offset mortgages and property taxes.

Join us this week on Upstater as we skip setting up the tent in the front yard to make sure you have the pieces. All week long we’ll be featuring short term glamping rentals from Tentrr, Hub, Airbnb, and wherever else we can find them. So, let’s go camping as nature intended: Glamorously.
