This Week on Upstater: Westchester County for Less Than $400K
Kandy Harris | June 19, 2017Can it be done? Oh yes it can, and this week on Upstater, we aim to prove it by delving into the residential real estate listings in Westchester County. Though its reputation as a less-than-affordable place to live downstate is solid, Westchester County still has some pretty, pretty houses for more affordable prices. Expect to find a variety of properties on Upstater this week, including Victorian Italianates like the one depicted above, Colonials, Mid-Century Moderns, Contemporaries, Tiny Homes, lake cottages…we’ve got them covered.
Towns in Westchester County where you’re more likely to find affordable housing include: Ossining, North Salem, Peekskill, Cortlandt Manor, Yonkers, Yorktown Heights…well, pretty much everywhere, actually, depending on what you require from a home with a listing price of under $400K and how much you’re willing to spend on property taxes (SPOILER ALERT: prepare to spend a lot on property taxes. This is still Westchester County, after all).
Stay tuned, and get ready to enjoy the variety…
